During social distancing, there’s not much chance to have those little interactions with strangers that can really lift your mood and brighten your day.
And that’s a real shame in Bradford, where some of the funnest and friendliest people just happen to live.
There are a lot of work-related video meetings going on at the moment, but we wanted to make one that was all about the tea break (because that’s the best bit of work really).
So if you find yourself longing for a bit of a chat with some new faces, get yourself signed up to BD Tea Break asap!
Twice a day (11am and 3pm) you can sign into the site and you’ll be randomly put into a video chat with two other people from the Bradford district.
All you need to do is put the kettle on in advance, and then have a 15-minute chinwag about whatever you want.
There’s no pressure to join in every day, just whenever you feel like it.
What happens after 15 minutes?
15 minutes is the suggested length of a tea break, but you can stay on and keep talking if you want.
If you’ve met someone you want to talk to again, you can swap details with them and stay in touch.
Or you can just sign off after 15 minutes is up, and carry on with your day – it’s totally up to you.
